Tastemaker to tastemakers and musical icon, Tommie Sunshine is renowned for being consistently ahead of the curve while still standing firmly in the zeitgeist.
As an activist, Tommie is boots-on-the-ground where there is a political, racial or environmental cause that moves him to action and is one of the most outspoken people in electronic music on social media, unafraid to speak his mind.
As a producer, DJ, artist, and now television host, Tommie brings a unique enthusiasm to his craft—one that is fueled by his encyclopedic (if not obsessive) knowledge of underground and pop music spanning the last half-century. This brought him to moderate and sit on panels at Amsterdam Dance Event, Ibiza Music Summit, Australia’s EMC, Winter Music Conference and EDMbiz.
Sunshine has appeared on Katie Couric’s daytime talk show Katie and on BBC radio & TV; he has been interviewed by Peter Jennings for ABC and has spoken on NPR; and on occasion, he writes on sites such as Huffington Post. He is known to cause an uproar in his firm stance on many issues most won’t dare talk about.
